Delays on receiving your claim can happen though especially if there are multiple vehicles involved in the accident or if there are discrepancies on the information that your insurance company has from the information that other persons involved in the accident have provided. These types of delays typically occur when there is not a clear cut person at fault for the damage. These kinds of situation may involve arbitration or mediation between parties and insurance claim may last from at least 2 weeks up to a couple of months.
